Dr. Scholl's Cozy Cushions for Her!!

Just a quick little post! I recently got the Dr. Scholl's Cozy Cushions from Influenster for testing purposes. I was so excited to get these because it was starting to get cold here in NC. And let me tell you, I am in LOVE with them! You don't have to sacrifice fashion to have warm feet! I've still been able to wear cute boots without having to wear thick socks. They seriously are the best thing ever. And they're super comfy! I wore them outside in the cold all night and my feet were nice and toasty. You can pick up a pair at Target for around $9.00. Yes I said $9.00! They are definitely worth it. And I highly recommend them if you live in a place that gets really cold or you just have cold feet. They also keep your feetdry and you can trim them to fit. Now go pick up a pair before winter is over! ;)

Retro Inspired Look Using Scandaleyes Retroglam Mascara

Hey ladies! Wanted to do a quick tutorial for a Retro inspired look I created. I was given the Rimmel London Scandaleyes Retroglam Mascara to test out for Influenster and asked to create a very retro look inspired by Georgia May Jagger. So here it is! The Retroglam mascara is great because it adds a lot of volume. That's one thing that's key to having a retro look. I was very impressed with this mascara! And anyone who knows me knows how picky I am about my mascara!

1. FACE: Start off with whatever foundation you like and powder if necessary. I tried to keep my face very matte. I added some bronzer for a little contouring and Avon's Antique Rose blush. I also dusted some highlighting powder just above my blush.

2. EYES: For the eyes I used Avon's True Color Eyeshadow Quad in palette Urban Skyline. These are great if you want an easy smokey eye. I used the white on my brow bone, inner corner of my eye, and half of my eyelid. I then took the light gray color blending that from the outer corner of my eye towards the inner corner and blending it up into my crease. I took an angled brush to create a straight line from the outer corner of my eye towards my temple to where my eyebrow ends. If you have trouble making a straight line, you can put a strip of scotch tape at an angle and brush the eyeshadow along the tape. Then using the same brush I softly blended the line upwards and into my crease. I used the darker gray to blend it all together and again into my crease. The key here is to blend, blend, blend! I finished off with Rimmel London's Scandaleyes Retroglam Mascara.

3. LIPS. For my lips, I wanted a very bold, matte finish and something that would last for hours so I used mark.'s Make It Rich Lip Color Crayon in Hot Sauce. And voila! That simple. :) If you have any questions about the look or products I used feel free to post below! Have a fabulous week!

nuNAAT Hair Product Review

I apologize for the huge delay on this review. As I said in my previous post it has been a crazy couple of months. But here I am, ready to get back on track! ;) I had the opportunity to review one of their haircare lines. I chose the line for curly hair. I don't have super curly hair, but it's very wavy. I was excited to try this and see if it really helped with defining curls/waves! In my package was the shampoo, conditioner & the hair mask. I used all of these for 2 full weeks.

I'll start off with the Shampoo & Conditioner. Both have a very light scent are infused with Keratin. I will be honest and say I wasn't super impressed with them. More so the conditioner. Maybe it's because my hair is a little on the dry side since I color it, but I felt like it didn't really make hair soft. They did however make my hair much more wavy than usual, which I liked. I would definitely recommend this to someone who doesn't have dry hair. They do have a line for dry hair. So I plan on trying that out for sure!

The hair mask was great! Same light scent and much more conditioning. Of course this is just a once a week treatment. It's also infused with Keratin. I've definitely continued to use this product more than the shampoo and conditioner. So if you're looking for something to add extra oomph to your wavy/curly hair, then I would say to give this a try! All of their products are super affordable and natural as possible.

Thank you nuNAAT for giving me the opportunity to review your products! I will definitely be trying another line from your collection.

If you'd like more info on any of their haircare products, you can go to www.nunaat.com!

I'm back!

Hey ladies! Sorry for the 2 month break in posts! It's been a crazy couple of months, but I'm getting things back on track. I'm really far behind on writing a review for Nunaat Hair products. I'm also really excited to say that yet another Influenster box is on it's so way so I'll have even more products to review! Also, if there's anything you'd like me to post about, or any tutorials on makeup/hair/fashion leave a comment below! I would love to get things going again. Hope y'all are having a fabulous week so far!

Goody Hair Ouchless Ribbon Elastics Review

Good morning to all my beautiful ladies out there! Writing a quick review on these new elastics I got complimentary from Influenster. I usually don't wear my hair up to often, but when I do I get so aggravated with elastics because they end up pulling my hair out or creating a knot every time I take them out. Especially if I don't straighten my hair and leave it naturally wavy.

These elastics did just the opposite! Not one strand of hair came out! lol. They come in a variety of colors & they're super affordable. You can find them at Target for about $4. I wish they came in cute patterns, but overall I was really pleased with these. So next time you're walking down the hair aisle looking for some new hair ties, give these a try. I promise they won't ruin your hair! Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

Review on Sinful Professionals Nail Polish!!

Hey ladies! Busy day today but wanted to write a quick review on ANOTHER product I got in my SunVoxBox complimentary from Influenster. I love getting to review all of these products! I was excited when I saw this nail polish because I absolutely love doing my nails. I love have a wide variety of fun colors to choose from! The color I received is called Nouveau Purple. This picture just doesn't do the color (or my manicure) justice! lol.

For only $2 a bottle, this nail polish is pretty amazing. It's long-lasting, didn't chip & there are sooo many colors to choose from. You can buy this brand at Walgreens and Walmart. When I first bought this nail polish I found it at Walmart in a hot pink color called 24/7. This is now my new go-to polish. I'm anxious to try their new SinfulShine with Gel Tech that they say is is 5x shinier than a patent leather shoe! So when I try that one out, I'll write a review on it. :)

So if you're looking for affordable, long-lasting, amazing color, give Sinful a try!

Have you tried Sinful nail polish? What's your favorite color?

Until next time! xoxo

Review on Dr. Scholl's® For Her High Heel Insoles

Hello beautiful ladies! This was another item in my SunVoxBox complimentary of Influenster to test them for product review. This weekend I was out of town and was going to be wearing high heels all day, so it was the perfect time to test these baby's out! I was pretty excited that they came out with insoles for high heels! We walk around all day in these cute shoes that kill our feet. The things we do to look good! Haha!

Influenster gave me the insoles for sizes 6-10. I'm a size 9 - 9 1/2. The night before, I put in the insoles. They were pretty easy to put in. The directions were simple and easy to follow. Just line them up with the heel of the shoe and insole. I tried them on just to make sure they fit good. They were very comfortable, but it didn't seem like they were big enough. I felt like they would fit a size 7 better. The arch of the insole didn't go under the arch of my foot. That's the only downfall I saw with them. So what I ended up doing was moving the insole further down in my shoe so that it fit right under my arch. The end of the insole where your toes are supposed to go didn't quite reach to my toes.

Needless to say, I wore them the next day anyway. They still made my shoe much more comfortable. And if they were in a bigger size, I think they would be absolutely amazing! So if you have a big foot like mine, I would suggest going up in size. Other than that, I would definitely recommend them!

These insoles were complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes :)

Review on Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream

Hi loves! I just recently got the Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream complimentary of Influenster in my Sunkissed Voxbox. I was really excited to see this in my box! Every time I go down the cosmetic aisles, I see various BB Creams. I've heard a lot about them but was always nervous to try them. Most of them are a little pricey and I wasn't sure how well they would cover. Anyone who knows me knows that I always wear foundation. Just about every day, and never leave the house without it. lol. I wouldn't say I have the most perfect skin, but I like it to look flawless as any girl does. Well let me tell you, when I tried this out today, I fell in love! I told my husband that I think I might actually ditch the foundation except for a night out! I put a before and after picture up. #nofilter Just the BB Cream, a light dusting of bronzer, eyeshadow & lipstick. NO foundation or concealer!! You can click on the image to enlarge it. :)

Olay says there are 6 benefits of this BB Cream all in one step. They are:

• Refreshes skin instantly
• Brightens for a radiant glow
• Evens tone with a splash of sheer color
• Hydrates for 24 hours
• Smoothes for softer feeling skin
• Protects against UV damage with SPF 15

I felt like this BB Cream really lived up to it's word! It made my skin feel super soft, it evened out my skin tone instantly and my dry skin didn't feel dry at all! Plus it's not heavy like foundation and you get your SPF which is super important. It also smells really good. I must say I was really impressed with it. I wasn't sure what to expect. I don't have to use a separate moisturizer anymore. If you have a couple of bad blemishes you can use a dot of concealer, otherwise you are good to go! I would definitely recommend this product if you haven't already tried it! It's definitely worth the money. I am super picky about anything that goes on my face, but I give this 2 thumbs up! :) I'm curious to try some other products they have! If you have any questions for me about it, just ask!

You can find this BB Cream at Walmart for about $11, Target for $12 or go to www.amazon.com to purchase it. If you want to look up some more info about it or check out some of their other Fresh Effects products go to www.olayfresheffects.com

Have you tried this BB Cream? What do you think about it?

GET THIS LOOK: Summer Glow

Hey girls! Now that it's officially summer, I wanted to do an easy summer look. It took me about 7 minutes to do this. I like this look because it's still very natural looking. It's great for every day! So here's how to get this look!

1. Prime your face with mark.'s Primed for Perfection Face Primer. Apply Foundation. I used L'Oreal True Match in Warm 6. Dust face lightly with mark.'s Set things Right Loose Powder. I used shade Medium. If you have any blemishes, you can cover them up with a concealer. I like mark.'s Save the Day Anti-Acne Concealer Stick.

2. For eyes, dust Urban Decay in color Scratch over over lids and color Shag in the crease. Use mark.'s No Place to Run Longwear Eyeliner in Jet Set along waterline and on the outer corner of bottom lash line. Apply 2 coats of L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara in Carbon Black.

3. Apply mark.'s Glowdacious Illuminating Powder in Shimmied Up in the hollows of your cheeks and around your hairline. Dust mark.'s Just Blushing Powder Blush in Afterglow on apples of cheeks. Highlight your cheekbone's with mark.'s Exotic Beauty Face Mosaics.

4. For lips, use mark.'s Gloss Gorgeous Stay On Lip Stain in shade Lolli.

5. Last, spritz your face with Urban Decay all nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray. And voila! You're done! :)

For gorgeous beach waves, all I did was curl the ends of my hair with a 1 inch curling iron. Wrap the ends of your hair twice. Make sure to curl your hair away from your face. Lightly run your fingers through your hair and mist with  Organix Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil. Super easy! :)

If you want to know where to buy any of the mark. products I mentioned, click on the link or shop here - www.mymarkstore.com/daslaksen

I bought my Urban Decay Palette & Setting Spray at www.hautelook.com They usually have great beauty events where you can buy name brand beauty products and clothes for more than 50% off! :)

New imPress Nails Review!

Hey lovies! I wanted to write a quick review on the new imPress nails from Broadway Nails. I ordered a new pair of shoes from Shoedazzle (www.shoedazzle.com - amazing shoes!) and they gave me a free box of the imPress nails. I was very anxious to try them out and very curious to see how they compared to the old school press on nails. The last time I tried press on nails was when I was around 13 or 14 years old! lol. I didn't like them that much because they would fall off after only a day or two or if any pressure was applied to them in every day activities. It was so embarrassing when one would just fly off your finger in public! So needless to say I was curious to see how the new imPress nails compared.

They come in multiple colors and and designs. You get the nails in a plastic nail polish bottle. They come in different sizes to fit your nails and a cleaning pad infused with alcohol to clean your nails. Be sure to use the cleaning pad if you want them to last longer. They were super easy to apply! After you apply them you wait 30 minutes before you clip and file them. You don't have to clip them if you like the length. They have long, medium and short nails.

I kept the nails on for about 5 days. After day 3, I felt like one was coming loose so I went ahead and replaced it. Other than that, they never came off. They stayed on pretty well. I was actually really impressed! Especially since I'm a mother of a 2 year old son and I'm always doing things with my fingers. The package came with a coupon, so I went ahead and bought some more because I liked them so much! Definitely give them a try! I don't think you'll be disappointed :)

New Ivory 2-in-1 Hair & Body Wash

Hey ladies! So I finally got my first voxbox from Influenster and I was so excited! I got to test out the new Ivory 2-in-1 Hair and Body Wash! I love the light and refreshing scent it has and it left my skin so soft. I usually don't got for any 2-in-1 products, but I was very impressed with this one. It's great because if you're a busy mom like me, it equals less time in the shower! Plus you save money because you have only one bottle for hair & body! My hair is a little more dry than most, so it did make my hair feel a little more dry than usual in the shower, but I always condition my hair anyway. So by the time I got to blow-drying, my hair felt great! I think I will be buying this product again especially since my hubby liked it too! :) If you love testing products out and writing reviews, then you will LOVE Influenster! And it's completely free to sign up! www.influenster.com

I received this product complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes! :)

Dry skin? Try POND'S Dry Skin Cream!

Hey ladies! I must say, this stuff is truly amazing. I have very dry skin and it tends to get worse in the winter time. I've gone through quite a few face creams trying to find the right one, and one that won't clog my pores! I happened to stumble upon this one. I've always seen POND'S in the store but never really looked at the whole line. I was reading about POND's cold cream that Marilyn Monroe used to use. And as you know, she had flawless skin!! I don't know if it was because she took such good care of her skin or she just had it in her genes. So anyway, I went to the store to check out that cold cream and sitting right next to it was their Dry Skin Cream. I decided I was going to give it a try. Just over $4 this 6.5oz. container is hypoallergenic (which is always good), suitable for sensitive skin, and won't clog pores!!! I couldn't wait to try this when I got home. Later on that night, I washed my face and put on the cream. Amazing!! My skin felt so soft and super moisturized. Plus this stuff smells good. It almost smells like baby powder. That light, fresh scent. So if you're looking for a great face cream for your dry skin, give this a try because I give it 2 thumbs up! :)

xoxo
