Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Shampoo & Conditioner

Good morning! I recently got the SunVoxBox from Influenster and inside I found some Not Your Mother's products! I absolutely love the Not Your Mother's products that I've tried so far. And my next choice was going to be their Beach Babe line. So needless to say, I was pretty excited when I saw their Beach Babe Shampoo & Conditioner in my voxbox!

The next day after receiving the shampoo and conditioner I decided to test it out. It worked great! It really enhanced my natural wavy hair even adding a few curls. I was very impressed. Not only does it smell good, but it cleans well and leaves your hair soft. Even if you have straight hair and want to curl your hair, braid it overnight or scrunch it to get those pretty beachy waves, I would definitely recommend the Beach Babe products to give your hair that little bit of extra hold. And the best part of the shampoo and conditioner? It's sulfate free!! That's always a plus in my book! And not only that but it detangles, hydrates and adds volume. This is such a wonderful line. I'm so glad I've known about Not Your Mother's products because I'm so in love with them! So if you haven't already tried them and are looking for some beachy waves, check out the Beach Babe line! Since I've had the beach babe products (trial size) I've tried them three times. The first time I blow dried my hair natural to let my natural waves come out, the second, I braided my wet hair overnight and the third, I used a 1 inch barrel curling iron to create some loose beachy waves. All 3 ways using the shampoo and conditioner worked great!

What's your favorite way to create the perfect beach hair?

Influensters GoVoxBox Review!!

Hey ladies! Sorry it's been awhile for any posts. Things have been crazy busy here lately! 6 months pregnant and so much to do! Anyway, I recently got an Influenster Box to review. The GoVoxBox. In it I found, ProFoot Triad Orthotics, ProFoot Pedi-Rock, Playtex Sport Fresh Balance Tampons, a packet of Blue Diamond Blueberry flavored Oven Roasted Almonds, 3 Packets of Next Step Fit N' Full Shakes From the Vitamin Shoppe along with a coupon for it and a Vitamin Shoppe Jaxx Shaker Cup, Aqua Spa Relax Body Creme, and a coupon for a free Muller Yogurt! So now for my personal reviews on each product I received complimentary of Influenster for testing purposes. :)

ProFoot Triad Orthotics- I was really excited when I saw these because being that I'm 6 months prego, I've been having some trouble with my hip. I have been having to go to the Chiropractor to help relieve the pain. So of course I asked him first if these would be ok. He took a look at them and said yes! Woo hoo! Since then, I've been testing them out in my flat closed toe shoes. They really added extra support that I've been needing. And they seem to relieve some of the pain in my hip when I wear them. I've had problems with my knees in the past and these have definitely seemed to help with that too especially if I'm doing a lot of standing or walking! They're very comfortable and would definitely recommend them. They're also very affordable and I believe you can find them in Walmart.

ProFoot Pedi-Rock- This is such a great product! I had never heard of it until I saw it in my VoxBox. This was the very first thing I tried. Brought in the shower with me and scrubbed away at my feet. I couldn't believe the difference it made. I use it twice a week now. I usually get dry feet in the winter so I end up spending the summer trying to get smooth, soft feet again. This worked wonders! And the shape of the "rock" is very unique. It's designed so you can easily scrub different areas of your foot. I loved how it conformed right to the arch of my foot! It's squishy & soft but rough on the outside. Also inexpensive. This is another product I would recommend to anyone suffering with dry, peeling feet or anyone who just wants a good scrub.

Playtex Sport Fresh Balance Tampons- Now obviously being prego, I don't need these! Hahaha! But thankfully, I have tried these in the past and do like them. Especially for when I'm headed to the gym. I'm very picky when it comes to Tampons. I don't get any house brands like I would with other items. I mean they're tampons, and they're for a very uncomfortable time of them month, so I only go with a good brand here!! The Fresh Balance Sport tampons are great for women who are very active. I've never had any issues with them when I go to the gym. They're comfortable. And they have a nice fresh scent that I like. If you haven't tried these, then go get some...now! :)

Blue Diamond Blueberry Flavored Oven Roasted Almonds- YUM is all I can say here! I had never tried these before and I have to admit I was a little hesitant when I saw they were blueberry flavored. I thought it was going to be a weird combination, but I was very wrong! Not only are they healthy because they are almonds & rich in Vitamin E, but they are delicious! Not overly sweet, and just the right amount of blueberry flavor. This is a new favorite snack of mine now. It's the perfect healthy on the go snack for me while pregnant. My 3 year old even likes these! Definitely another must try. Looking forward to getting more and trying some of the other flavors. (Raspberry & Strawberry)

Next Step Fit N' Full Shakes & Jaxx Shaker Cup- I had to ask my doctor first if I could try this while pregnant. She said it would be fine as long as I wasn't drinking it through my entire pregnancy since it is to help with weight loss. They recommend these to go along with " a healthy diet and exercise program" and even while pregnant I still go to the gym. So I drank these in the morning before my gym workouts. They are packed full of protein, fiber & Tonalin CLA which helps support reduction of body fat and increase lean body mass. The shakes help reduce hunger and cravings. There are 14 grams of protein per serving! Now I can't tell you how they work long term. I'll have to wait awhile for that. What I can tell you about is the shake itself and the shaker cup. Influenster gave me 3 flavors to try: Fresh Berries, Swiss Chocolate & French Vanilla. They Swiss Chocolate & Fresh Berries were my favorite. The flavor reminds me of a SlimFast Shake. Not hard to swallow at all. I mixed it with 8oz. cold water like the packet says and shook it all up with the Shaker Cup. I was impressed with how well the Shaker Cup worked! There were a few small lumps in there so I think next time I'll pour the liquid in first and then the powder. But it's so much quicker than getting the blender out. Can't wait to use this again after my pregnancy!

Aqua Spa Relax Body Creme- I absolutely loved this! I'm all about relaxation and lotion/cremes that help you relax. I have a couple of Bath and Body Works Stress Relief and Relax lotions on my nightstand which I use before bed. So when I saw the Aqua Spa I was SUPER excited to try it!! It's Lavender & Chamomile scented. It's one of those scents that when you smell it, your mind and body just say "Ahhhh!". The creme itself is rich so it moisturizes really well and left my skin super soft. It's also infused with "Marine Youth Complex" diminishes the signs of aging, so that's always a plus! This product retails for about $9.99 which is a great price and actually a little cheaper than what I pay for the ones at Bath & Body Works. I've been using this every night before bed to help me relax. I think this is my FAVORITE product I received in the GoVoxBox!

Muller Yogurt- As I mentioned before, I got a coupon to try a free muller yogurt. I love yogurt, so off to the store I went and grabbed the Dark Chocolate & Raspberry flavor. Yum! I was surprised when I opened this. I thought it would be raspberry yogurt with bits of chocolate to pour on top like most flip cups are. But instead I found a really creamy yogurt with bits of chocolate and a delicious raspberry sauce to pour on top! I've tried numerous flip cups which I love but this one was just so good and so decadent with the sauce! I almost felt guilty about eating it. Haha! I've already been back to the store to stock up on a few other flavors to try. I love how it fills my prego craving for something sweet and healthy too!

Well I believe I've covered all the products in my GoVoxBox from Influenster. There really were some great products in the box. If you've ever been curious about any of these, I hope I've informed you well enough to want to give them all a try! Have any questions? Just ask! Want your free products to test out too? Dr. Scholl's Cozy Cushions for Her!!

Just a quick little post! I recently got the Dr. Scholl's Cozy Cushions from Influenster for testing purposes. I was so excited to get these because it was starting to get cold here in NC. And let me tell you, I am in LOVE with them! You don't have to sacrifice fashion to have warm feet! I've still been able to wear cute boots without having to wear thick socks. They seriously are the best thing ever. And they're super comfy! I wore them outside in the cold all night and my feet were nice and toasty. You can pick up a pair at Target for around $9.00. Yes I said $9.00! They are definitely worth it. And I highly recommend them if you live in a place that gets really cold or you just have cold feet. They also keep your feetdry and you can trim them to fit. Now go pick up a pair before winter is over! ;)

Retro Inspired Look Using Scandaleyes Retroglam Mascara

Hey ladies! Wanted to do a quick tutorial for a Retro inspired look I created. I was given the Rimmel London Scandaleyes Retroglam Mascara to test out for Influenster and asked to create a very retro look inspired by Georgia May Jagger. So here it is! The Retroglam mascara is great because it adds a lot of volume. That's one thing that's key to having a retro look. I was very impressed with this mascara! And anyone who knows me knows how picky I am about my mascara!

1. FACE: Start off with whatever foundation you like and powder if necessary. I tried to keep my face very matte. I added some bronzer for a little contouring and Avon's Antique Rose blush. I also dusted some highlighting powder just above my blush.

2. EYES: For the eyes I used Avon's True Color Eyeshadow Quad in palette Urban Skyline. These are great if you want an easy smokey eye. I used the white on my brow bone, inner corner of my eye, and half of my eyelid. I then took the light gray color blending that from the outer corner of my eye towards the inner corner and blending it up into my crease. I took an angled brush to create a straight line from the outer corner of my eye towards my temple to where my eyebrow ends. If you have trouble making a straight line, you can put a strip of scotch tape at an angle and brush the eyeshadow along the tape. Then using the same brush I softly blended the line upwards and into my crease. I used the darker gray to blend it all together and again into my crease. The key here is to blend, blend, blend! I finished off with Rimmel London's Scandaleyes Retroglam Mascara.

3. LIPS. For my lips, I wanted a very bold, matte finish and something that would last for hours so I used mark.'s Make It Rich Lip Color Crayon in Hot Sauce. And voila! That simple. :) If you have any questions about the look or products I used feel free to post below! Have a fabulous week!

nuNAAT Hair Product Review

I apologize for the huge delay on this review. As I said in my previous post it has been a crazy couple of months. But here I am, ready to get back on track! ;) I had the opportunity to review one of their haircare lines. I chose the line for curly hair. I don't have super curly hair, but it's very wavy. I was excited to try this and see if it really helped with defining curls/waves! In my package was the shampoo, conditioner & the hair mask. I used all of these for 2 full weeks.

I'll start off with the Shampoo & Conditioner. Both have a very light scent are infused with Keratin. I will be honest and say I wasn't super impressed with them. More so the conditioner. Maybe it's because my hair is a little on the dry side since I color it, but I felt like it didn't really make hair soft. They did however make my hair much more wavy than usual, which I liked. I would definitely recommend this to someone who doesn't have dry hair. They do have a line for dry hair. So I plan on trying that out for sure!

The hair mask was great! Same light scent and much more conditioning. Of course this is just a once a week treatment. It's also infused with Keratin. I've definitely continued to use this product more than the shampoo and conditioner. So if you're looking for something to add extra oomph to your wavy/curly hair, then I would say to give this a try! All of their products are super affordable and natural as possible.

Thank you nuNAAT for giving me the opportunity to review your products! I will definitely be trying another line from your collection.

If you'd like more info on any of their haircare products, you can go to www.nunaat.com!

I'm back!

Hey ladies! Sorry for the 2 month break in posts! It's been a crazy couple of months, but I'm getting things back on track. I'm really far behind on writing a review for Nunaat Hair products. I'm also really excited to say that yet another Influenster box is on it's so way so I'll have even more products to review! Also, if there's anything you'd like me to post about, or any tutorials on makeup/hair/fashion leave a comment below! I would love to get things going again. Hope y'all are having a fabulous week so far!

Goody Hair Ouchless Ribbon Elastics Review

Good morning to all my beautiful ladies out there! Writing a quick review on these new elastics I got complimentary from Influenster. I usually don't wear my hair up to often, but when I do I get so aggravated with elastics because they end up pulling my hair out or creating a knot every time I take them out. Especially if I don't straighten my hair and leave it naturally wavy.

These elastics did just the opposite! Not one strand of hair came out! lol. They come in a variety of colors & they're super affordable. You can find them at Target for about $4. I wish they came in cute patterns, but overall I was really pleased with these. So next time you're walking down the hair aisle looking for some new hair ties, give these a try. I promise they won't ruin your hair! Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
